The AKG 233
acoustic glass break detector is a component of the DSS2 wireless
security system. With the help of the
FGW 210 wireless gateway, the detector
can be connected
to the EMZ complex 200H/400H.
The AKG 233 is used to monitor for
glass breakage of window fronts and
glass doors. It detects
breaking flat glass with a
glass pane thickness of 2.4 mm to 6.4
mm. The installation location must be chosen
so that the detector is located on an interior wall or ceiling
adjacent
to or opposite the glass surface to
be monitored.
The detector must have a direct
line of sight to all glass surfaces to be
protected.
In order to select the best possible
installation location, a functional test must be carried out
with
the acoustic tester 5709C-W,
article no. 100090826.
