For optical-acoustic alarm in
outdoor areas. The extremely robust,
impact-resistant and weatherproof
polycarbonate housing offers optimal
protection for the built-in electrical
components. The OAS has an
electromagnetic high-tone siren for acoustic alerting

A 180°
array of 24 red LEDs with particularly
high luminosity is installed for visual alarming.
The OAS has an installation space to
accommodate a 12 V / 1.2 Ah to
1.5 Ah battery for self-supply of
visual and acoustic alarms.
This is supplied by means of a built-in
charging and monitoring circuit with step-up
converter and temperature-controlled
charging voltage and current control from
the EMZ.
The visual and
acoustic alarms can be controlled by the EMZ
via separate inputs.
In addition, the visual and
acoustic alarms can be activated together by
disconnecting the 12 V supply voltage
. In this case, the alarm time is
limited by built-in timers
.
If the monitoring circuit detects a fault condition in
the battery supply,
this is reported to the EMC via a potential-free
output.
