Uses
The magnetic contacts of the MK-2000 series are used in
hazard alarm systems and
access control systems to
monitor
doors, gates and windows against
unauthorized opening. The
extensive range of
mounting accessories allows the use
of magnetic contacts in almost any
application indoors and
outdoors.
Function
The magnetic contact consists of two
parts, the reed contact and a
permanent magnet. The reed contact part and magnet are mounted at
a defined distance on the
fixed and moving parts of the
object to be protected.
The reed contact remains closed by the
force field of the permanent magnet
. If the distance
between the reed contact and the magnet is
increased,
the influence of the magnetic
force field at the reed contact
is attenuated. This will open the
reed contact and interrupt the
signal evaluation circuit
