The hilock 2200 digital locking cylinder is used to open and close a door. It replaces the conventional, mechanical locking cylinder of the door. This structure replaces a door opener and a locking element in conventional technology. The hilock 2200 digital locking cylinder has an electronic knob module with a built-in MIFARE RFID reader. When an authorized transponder is read, the electronic knob module couples into the locking cylinder and the door can be opened or locked. The concept offers great advantages over conventional technology, especially in terms of simple installation without mechanical intervention at the door. Two different applications can be implemented with the hilock 2200 digital locking cylinder: Stand-alone application In the stand-alone application, the digital locking cylinder is installed in a door. The transponders are managed directly in the internal memory of the Digital Lock Cylinder. Access control for up to 1000 authorisations (persons) is possible in stand-alone operation. EMA application The electronic knob module captures transponder data via the built-in RFID reader and transmits it wirelessly to the hilock 203/213 transceiver. The use of the electronic knob module eliminates the time-consuming installation and control of a locking element and the door opener. The hilock 203 / 213 transceiver is connected to the intrusion alarm control panel via the com2BUS. The hilock 213 UFM transceiver is wirelessly connected to the intrusion control panel. The connection with the EMZ has the advantage that the transponders can be parameterized via the EMZ’s parameterization software. Changing, deleting or adding transponders is thus possible on site or via remote service. The authorizations on individual transponders can also be assigned retrospectively. When it comes to operation, a distinction is made between short and long holding of the transponder to the RFID reader of the electronic knob module. Different authorizations such as arming/disarming and/or access authorization with the same transponder are thus possible. The integrated project planning mode in the hilock 203 / 213 transceiver signals the radio field strength on the electronic knob module in 4 steps via the built-in LEDs. With an authorised transponder, the electronic knob module is activated. The integrated reader transmits the transponder information to the transceiver by radio. LEDs and a built-in buzzer signal the operating states visually and acoustically.
